Today we have continued north along the Cherwell valley, stopping off in Banbury, the only town on this canal. I popped into B&Q to get a few bits for the decorating locker.
Leaving Banbury we lifted FL up 7'6" using Hardwick lock, then the heavens opened and it bucketed down, a brief respite while we negotiated the M40 bridge, Sue disappeared inside to make lunch while I kept dry under the umbrella to Burton lock.
Cropredy was rammed full of boats, we weren't expecting to stop but a FL sized boat moved of the visitor moorings as we approached, in the gap we went, that will do.

The Red Lion has changed hands since the last time I was here, now has a good atmosphere the food we saw being served looked ok and the Bombardier well presented.
