For a change of scene we had an afternoon at an agricultural show, a huge two day show with six event rings.

Worth the entrance fee alone was the farriers competition, the competitors have to fashion a 3/4 fullered shoe fitted and nailed plus a second shoe to judges specification. I was amazed at how much work goes into making a horse shoe.
With six farriers going for the win (in the allowed 55 mins) with hammers, anvil, pritchel, tongs and the roar of six gas powered forges - the din was ear splitting.
